A Primer

Due to the need for our youth to understand the nature, workings and use of money to create wealth, the book entitled “Mom, Dad, Tell Me About Money” is now available. This primer is for parents and teachers to use as a guide to explain the basics regarding banking, business, investing and the future value of money.

In the 21^st century, saving is not enough. A child and young adult needs to understand how a business works, what a bank or credit union does for the community, the functions of a board of directors and a simple breakdown of the stock market. The book has three sections: for ages 12 to 14, 15 to 17 and college age young adults who need information for budgeting and personal financial management. This book answers questions and helps to begin an honest discussion between you and your child about money.
